What is ADVFX?
ADVFX stands for Advanced Program in Visual Effects, a specialized course offered by MAAC (Maya
Academy of Advanced Creativity). It trains students in various VFX techniques such as 3D filmmaking,
CGI lighting, and compositing, using industry-standard tools like Autodesk Maya and Adobe After
Effects. The course is designed to help students master visual effects for films, TV, and gaming.
Graduates become proficient in transforming ordinary footage into visually stunning scenes.

This Course duration is 12 months.
Job Scopes : VFX Artist, Compositor, Roto Artist, Match Moving Artist, FX Artist,
Motion Graphics Artist, Pre-Visualization (Pre-Viz) Artist, Video Editor.
VFX Artist
Scope: Design and create visual effects for films, TV shows, commercials, and games, using computer
software to generate realistic imagery.
Key Skills: 3D modeling, animation, compositing, rendering, particle simulations.
Motion Graphics Artist
Scope: Develop animated graphic elements for video production, including title sequences, lower
thirds, and dynamic visual content for films, TV, and advertising.
Key Skills: Motion design, Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4D, animation principles.
Video Editor
A Video Editor assembles raw footage into a polished final product, ensuring smooth transitions,
proper pacing, and a coherent storyline. They work closely with directors and VFX teams to
synchronize video, audio, and visual effects. Video editors are crucial in creating content for
films, TV, advertisements, and online platforms.
